Insulation Piercing Connector (IPC)

The Insulation Piercing Connector (IPC) is a tap clamp for insulated overhead or underground cables, eliminating the need for stripping insulation. Sharp tines penetrate the insulation to establish reliable electrical contact with the conductor. The housing is made of high-strength, UV-resistant engineering plastic, with tin-plated copper contact teeth and a built-in sealing gel for watertight protection. A torque-controlled shear-head bolt ensures proper installation force without damaging the conductor. Suitable for low-voltage distribution (up to 1kV) and service drop connections, the IPC is easy to install with common tools, providing a safe, maintenance-free, and corrosion-resistant solution for branch connections.
